  Thomas “Tom” Witzman, age 76, of New Castle, DE, took one last ride over the hotrod rainbow surrounded by his family on February 8, 2025. In his younger days Tom had a passion for working and fixing up cars, especially hotrods and Corvettes, including the ones he built. Tom spent time coaching tee-ball, baseball, and softball. He was always at his kids and grandkids sports events supporting and cheering them on. In his later years Tom enjoyed eating at Seasons Pizza and watching M.A.S.H. and Barrett Jackson car auctions. He also loved going to car shows, drag races, and taking annual beach trips. Tom loved spending time with his family doing all of those things and made many great memories during them. Tom also made lasting memories with his grandkids taking them to IHOP and driving them around to where they needed to go. His favorite time with his grandkids was having them over to spend the night. Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary; children, Veronica Bullock (Jon “Tater Tot”) and Joseph Witman (Brandy); grandchildren: Auriana (Rob), Cassidy, Kaitlynn (Jacob), and J.J.; great-grandchild, Charleigh “Chucky”; brother, Jack Witzman; brother-in-law’s, Paul Pustolski (Chris) and Eugene Pustolski (Debbie); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Witzman and sister-in-law, Jackie Witzman. A visitation will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:30-11 AM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE, 19702. A celebration of life will follow at 11 AM.
