#806 Birth of Carmela Occhipinti November 12, 1845
1845, the 13th of November at the hour of 5pm before Calogero Criscione, Mayor and official of the vital records office of Ragusa, Modica, Noto, appeared Lucia Cabibbo, 59, midwife, of this town on Via S. Veneranda, who presents a baby girl who she declares was born to Giovanna Di Stefano, 21, of Via S. Alberto, and Giuseppe Occhipinti, her husband, 21, picker, on the 12th of November at the hour of 10pm in their home. They named the child Carmela. Witnesses are Carmelo Ragusa, 49, sifter, and Rosario Di Pasquale, 37, coach driver. Carmela was baptized on the 13th of November in the church of S. Giovanni.

#121 Marriage of Giuseppe Occhipinti and Giovanna Di Stefano September 29, 1844
1844, the 27th of September at the hour of 8am before Calogero Criscione, Mayor and official of the vital records office of Ragusa, District of Modica, Province of Noto, appeared in the town hall Giuseppe Occhipinti, 21, born in Ragusa, Modica, Noto, farmer, resident of Via S. Veneranda, son of Francesco, 46, a farmer and Emmanuela Minardi, 44; and also appeared Giovanna Di Stefano, 21, born in Ragusa, resident of Via Alberto, daughter of Giorgio, 45, coach driver and Rosa Migliarisi, 44. They were married on the 29th of September 1844 in the church of S. Giovanni. Their respective parents were present and gave consent. Banns were posted on the 1st of September in Ragusa. Documents provided are the birth records of the bride and groom and the banns. Witnesses are Mario Inrato, 70, sifter, Giuseppe Iacono, 58, occupation (?), Emmanuele Occhipinti, 36, shoemaker and Tomaso Zago, 48, (I think occupation is butcher, but not sure).

#103 Marriage of Salvatore Nobile and Carmela Occhipinti June 22, 1873
1873, the 22nd of June in the town hall of Ragusa, Modica, Siracusa, before Stefano Lupis, official of the vital records office of Ragusa and in the presence of Mr. Biaggio Luscanelli, son of the late Francesco, 61, and Carmelo Pellingra, son of the late Carmelo, age 55, both shoemakers of this town and residents of Via Carmine, appeared Salvatore Nobile, widower of Giovanna Martorana, 37, coach driver, born in and resident of Ragusa, Via (?), son of Giuseppe and Francesca Capone, a coach driver and residnets of Via Sant'Anna, and also appeared Carmela Occhipinti, single, 27, spinner, born in and resident of Ragusa, Via Santo Alberto, daughter of Giuseppe and Giovanna Di Stefano, picker, who lives with his daughter, and they wish to be united in marriage and have produced the extracts of their birth and other documents for the banns from the registers of this town. The banns were posted and there was no opposition. The civil codes were read to those present and having their mutual consent, they were united in marriage.
